Just bringing this back to the top. Does anyone have any new pics of '60-'64 Fords and Mercurys?

Thread from the dead, but might as well add to it anyway. Two projects in waiting, so to speak, both '62's. Started disassembly on the Fairlane gasser, and the Meteor went into the garage last week to clean it up, and attempt to just get it running (and install better bumpers). Meteor needs a radiator and brake pedal. The Fairlane needs everything, lol, but the one thing it does have is a brake pedal. So that will go in the Meteor, and am now looking for a manual transmission clutch/brake/gas pedal assembly for the Fairlane.

Might as well keep this thread going. My '62 Mercury Monterey Wagon.

As it looked when I brought it home. It's previous home since '75 was a tree grove in NW Minnesota.

The chassis is complete and ready for the motor, which is at the machine shop and nearly complete.

The body is on the rotisserie, lots of rust to repair.

    April 2015 Update / Edit:

The Merc is now complete an back on the road.

my 62 galaxie 500 XL convertible looks sad in this picture i havent had time or cash to get back on it but it does run like a scalded ape ..had it for sale for awhile but couldnt get a reasonable offer..so i got this wagon i was going to cut the quarters out of..but after i got it home and running i hated to cut up such a good rebuildable car..so im stuck with 2 more projects i'll probably never have time or cash for..but since i sold my 63 galaxie 500XL these two keep me from buying something else i dont need...if anyone would like a cool ragtop or longroof or both let me know i sure would hate to drop dead and my daughter have the crusher come get em

    This is my 63 Comet..

I've got 62 trim coming in.
    A ford 200 i6.
    Keeping in the original interior.
    skirts... a future lowering project.
I'm pretty pumped up about it. I like it a whole lot better then the '61 that came first.

  18. Saw this thread and thought I would add to it. I just picked up a canadian made 1964 comet caliente.
    Has 260 engine.
I have some steel wheels that will go on it.
Currently looking at macs for missing parts. Will look to redo the just redone interior. Prefer to get original material from sms perhaps.
    Any other comet resources would be appreciated. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428857529.094999.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428857575.584141.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428857597.625849.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428857622.154726.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428857642.094667.jpg
