Hi Denny, I didn't know either and I am glad Dick Spadaro was able to ID it as Albany Saratoga. My friend George Meade says the 3rd picture is
    Willie Beardsley at Danbury Racearena.

  2. Anybody got some pictures of Armond Holley??? I know he ran all over the country for a while. TB

    Slippery,

Car looks great! I'm envious, as you're a little ahead of me. You planning to race it & show it?

This will be a show & go deal. I sent you a PM ages ago to chat about this; check your PMs and we'll take this away from the board so we don't clog it up.

There, too. The crew drove all the way back to the Rochester area shop, picked up his Spencer Speedway winning Pinto, and won with it @ Trenton. But, the pics are from Pocono.

Shamrock 3X and Slippery - Should we start a new thread for people who are restoring and racing vintage oval cars? More tech with some history. This is a great thread for racing history.

I need your help please. When you have a moment please view this short video on Youtube (vintage race car pictures). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udLOPOhTQKs In order to conserve my sponsors for my race car(and get new ones for next season) the more times this is viewed the better. If you also would be so kind as to share it with your e-mail links that would be spectacular.

    Thanks

SMALL WORLD....must be something in the water in Spencerport NY that drives local men to vintage modifieds from the 60's; especially 1936 chevy coupes! My passion came from following Ozzie around the country. I built a 32 chevy street rod during my teen years in Spencerport...Ozzie gas welded up a set of headers for me using coathanger wire. I'm just finishing my 3 year project....a 1936 chevy coupe vintage modified. Will send more details /photo's later. Hopefully the attached link will give you a quick view. Will be sure to look you up on my next trip north from SC (after the snow melts...LOL). Terry Kamp

I am trying to find a color picture of the #91 Monza modified ( very aerodynamic ) raced at Trenton Race of Champions in 1975 by Kenny Weld..

Not sure if there is even a color pic out there...

Some pictures of Tom Baldwin and some Islip LI Mod action

    a vintagemod photo

a skirmish at Islip with Bobby Lamaroux in the #68, George Wagner in the #Z1, George Brunnhoelzl Sr. in the #1 with the checkered flags, Tom Kulesa in the the Roman Numeral #I, Tom Baldwin in the #7 (bent right front), Cliff Tyler in the #21 and Bobby Holmberg in the #9a. At one time there were 4 to 5 mods with the #1 on it at Islip. In addition to the 3 above you had the Chargin One, Charlie Jarzombek in the #1 as well.

Although the name on the car says Tom Baldwin, for some reason I remember Wayne Anderson driving the car the night the engine erupted in this picture. Whether it was for points or Tommy couldn't make it, I don't recall....
