Should have been there fri night. They were doing some illegal tire burning in front of the pavillion. This drunked up security guy on a golf car took off after someone that smoke a tire and couldnt get stopped and ran all over the door of Rickey Bobbys sedan. I had a great time just like anywhere you go there is good and bad. But the folks that went seen first hand what they liked and didnt. And then there are the ones that posted here that sat at home thumping their cods and bitching on a keyboard. But hey if thats what you like have at it. :D

    So Which is it?

As for the swap meet, I scored a pair of vintage Weiand finned valve covers for $25, a practically new Edelbrock intake for $40, a 1950 TN license plate for $15 and a good distributor for anouther project for $10.

I musta walked right by the sword guy just like I did the rats.

Won't argue with that - Scooter said I needed to start locking up my Shoebox - said he came by to look at it Saturday night and some dude was passed out in the back of it...:D

I never find any parts at the Rumble, but I do get alot of leads on where to find them. Its tough being an Orphan.

Had a great time, as usual. I'd say that if you didn't find anything you liked - you don't know what the hell you're looking for. It's almost a two day event just to give everything there a quick "once-over".

A big "Howdy" to all the folks I didn't get to talk to at the show.

need to put some kind of shield/insulation on the fuel line that runs by the manifold. ask me how i know this. have the old radiator boiled out also don't cost much. this should really help.

Haha. It wasn't what the drunk dude at the gas station said that made me made, it was the way that he said it. He saw a 140 pound nerdy dude get out of a car that wasn't sceneish enough for him, so he decide to try and start something. What made me made was that he was trying to start a fight for no reason at all. I suppose if I would have gotten out of the car with a pompadore, cuffed jeans, Hank 3 t-shirt and a bad ass PBR tattoo we could have just been friends. Also, he probally wouldn't like me because I say things like "I suppose." Trust me, we joke around about my car being a rolling stereotype all the time. The difference is that this guy wasn't joking or just trying to start a conversation.

My car fit in with the other lowriderish cars. There were other cars that stood out more than mine, like the ones with the 20" wheels.

There were booths with swords, some plastic guns, t-shirts and one guy was selling what looked like Halloween props. He had a coffin with the a plastic body that raised up, but I guess some of that is useable in a few of the cars that were in attendence.

Yeah, he was checking out our club photographer Cookie's '64 T-bird and told her he had a '60. She was stoked. :)

By the way, thanks to all you guys for the pics, I was too busy having fun to take any.

Great pics. Got home last night after spending a few days in Alabaster, Al
with a buddy. Thanks Gator for letting me crawl all over your Shoebox.
I was at the Rumble in 2008, has really grown and was worth the drive.
Will be back again. The people in Lebanon are really friendly and make
    you feel welcome also.
