I have built a dozen or more shoebox Fords/Mercs and still have one. Built hundreds of parts for the Woodie guys.

I spent the evening pulling out all my old Woodie Times issues and sorting them. The new garage is finally at the poing where I can pull them out of storage and put them in holders and on my shelves for reference material along with all my woodie related books.

This month's Goodguys rag has a nice article on Wood N Carr with some really cool in-process woodie build pics.

Thank you, the yellow one in the first pic is a 49, the green one is a 51 with a wood gate conversion, the other green one is a 48. The blue-metal one is now done and in black but the pics I have will not up load. The yellow one with the board is a 51 with a wood gate conversion and a 3" top chop. The Tahiatian blue one is at the SEMA convention and has one of our custom visors on it. Tom

This is the woodie I worked on that was invited to be in the at PPG booth at the SEMA show in 2008. The pics are of the visor I make for the shoebox woodie wagons. I also did the tail pans, tail lamps, blind nuts and a host of other stainless items throughout the car. Jimmy C did the striping and the sculptors for the hood ornament and door lock knobs. T Fritz you have some serious skills. Have you done any Mercs of these years? If so I would love to see them as well.

Lockwoodcustoms, I have not had the pleasure of working on a 49-51 Mercury woodie in my shop yet. I have constructed many parts for the guys working in their own shops. Tom
