Would that be the same Bob Wagner that raced at Pomona and drove for Chrysler Boats?

Is the Chuckwagon still around? I saw the Chuckwagan get completely distroyed in a crash at the Night Under Fire at Norwalk Ohio in the late 90's or so. The truck was busted into 3 pieces! There was a storm comming in and the wheelstanders hit the end of track just as the wind gust at the front of the storm hit. The wind sent the Chuckwagon on a hard left! It must have rolled 20 times! Then landed out in the parking area! They hauled it back to the pits on 3 roll back trucks. The driver was uninjured I don't know if Chuck Poole ever built another Chuckwagon?

The white Challenger was owned by a couple of brothers who couldnt get it to run right. Beswick steps in and does an exemplary job of driving and tuning, posting solid 6's. The Baltimore Bandit was 1969 AHRA gas funny car points champ; the last year that the AHRA ran the class. They added blower and fuel for 1970. They also, in my estimation, took what had been a decent, clean paint scheme and ruined it with the pink flames.

was that place on CHIP's once...?

  29. Maybe you are thinking of Lions Drag Strip. It was on Adam 12 in an episode where they we're trying to get street racers off the street. Don't remember which one. Don't remember OMS being on CHIPs. Could have been though.

The Munsters also raced at Lions.
