  2. I was thinking of you, Denise, when I was watching the video in the second post.

Sorry to hear of this. My best to the owners of the shop and the cars.

o damn, I saw that red woody built on american hotrod and it was a beautiful car.

Really sucks when this kind of thing happens to any business. I wish all the guys down there good luck.

The new Arizona Street Rods will arise even better from the flames!!

    This is terrible!
My car spent some quality time in this shop when the roadster got rear ended in 2003- splitting the gas tank open.

Still no word as to what caused it. We all had a meeting with Rod today at the shop. The inspector is saying it could take 2-3 days for the investigation, to determine the cause. Thanks again to all who have shown concern. This is a very tough time for Rod and us employees.

Here's some photos that Terry sent me that the fire department took from a ladder truck. Just devastating

    Terry said.......
    :("The cars destroyed were:
    63 Corvette roadster (original owner),
    63 Chevytruck,
    39 Dodge coupe,
    34 Ford truck,
    47 Cadillac convertible, (just finished),
    33 Buick Victoria,
32 Ford American Graffiti clone coupe,
    38 Chevy coupe,
Boyd Coddington built 42 Ford woodie,
70 Chevelle just purchased by a serviceman that recently went to Iraq,
57 Chevy hardtop that was just finished after a near total wreck,
    40 Ford convertible,
and a 65 Comet. Two cars that are possibly savable are a 50 Lincoln and
a 47 Chevy sedan delivery. There were also some outside that had minor
    damage"

  17. Fire scares me. We had bags packed last weekend due to ANOTHER forest fire just north of my place. We were ready to jet at a moments notice. I looked around the place and in the shop at what really would go up in smoke. Luckily my place is pretty fire resistant on the outside and easily defendable by the fire crews.

Tragic, I'm sick sorry for your loss.

  20. Wow, utter destruction from wall to wall, floor to ceiling! I've seen one shop like that go up and I was working there at the time. The fire happened at night so no one was hurt, it looked similar to the Az fire. I hope everything works out for everyone, count on no quick payout by the insurance company.

That is such a terrible loss, but on the bright side ya'll can make some really cool trophy's for years to come for the local car shows and functions from the stuff that is destroyed but still in tact.

Hey, you always gotta look at the glass is half full...of anything you choose...LOL

I'm glad to see that no one was injured other than feelings and emotions. They will heal in time also.

Damn. So sorry to hear and see this. As long as no one was hurt. Metal can be replaced. Lives, not so much.

I nearly lost my entire collection of cars and parts to the Santiago wildfire which some asshole set deliberately in 2007. I was evacuated for a week and had no clue whether I even had a home to return to. We lost three homes two doors down from me and the fire was stopped 15 ft from my barn. I had to face the possibility I would have nothing and the reality of that is huge. So my thoughts go out to you guys - there is nothing worse than a total loss except that nobody got hurt or lost their life.

  29. Truly an ugly scene.

When you rise from the ashes how can you not have a name change to "Phoenix Street Rods"
