Someone emailed me these so I did a search and found no one had posted them yet so I will. I think they are pretty cool, look real close and you can certainly identify some of the parts and what cars they came from. My favorite!
Don't know his name but I believe this is the chap who did this fine work. The guy on the right that is.
someone posted this a couple of weeks ago. his name is james corbett (an aussie). we saw his exhibition here in perth, australia a couple of months ago.. SUPER cool stuff!! heres the gallery link with more stuff.. enjoy > http://www.lkgalleries.com.au/exhibition_gallery.asp?exhibitionId=78
Another link to his work http://www.johndaviesgallery.com/ex...=JamesCorbett Exhibition 2009&exhibitionID=27
Here is some of my stuff. I don't use any good parts, strictly garbage. I like them a little more "rustic", that way I can store them outside when they don't sell, haha.
If you spent anywhere near the amount of time you spend complaining , out in the garage you could build 1 car a year , and wouldnt have time to worry about all the other crap you think about !!
Yeah... James Corbett...I stumbled onto his work about a year ago...really inspiring. There is another guy that I like named Greg Brotherton that did this sculpture called "DeSoto Rising"
Corbett's work is outstanding. He understands musculature, gesture, and vehicle dynamics better than most sculptors working in more plastic media; what he does with junk parts is the best I've ever seen.
