Event Coverage 2010 Billetproof Drags, Florida - Who's going?

what time does this start and run til? and is it just drag racing or is it a car show as well? I'll be in Florida that weekend and would really like to attend this but know nothing about it

 

gates open at 9am.
runs until you are tired of racing . Last year everyone petered out at 3:30pm or so.
Sunday is just a drag race, but there is an impromptu car show in the spectator lot. There will be a car show at Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing the day before and we STRONGLY encourage everyone to go.

I'll be staying in Ocala for the weekend so I'll have to hit up that show on Saturday is that at 9am-3:30ish as well?

I'll be there, but I am not sure if the Bel Air can make it. Last year was a lot of fun.

 

Gonna try to make both events. I'll be bringing the mini bike again, but still have engine problems to work out. Last year was a blast.

Now I am thrashing. Wiped out the cam, oil pump and distributor last Thursday night at test/tune.
Got all the parts ordered, just have to have the time to put it all together and break the cam in before Billetproof.

We will be at the drags for sure, not for sure about garlits yet.
I was hoping to have Christy's panhead done... but the transmission is a huge hurdle

I'm a newbie, and I don't have a hot rod (yet, should start shopping in the winter). I went to Billetproof and I'm really interested in coming up to this as well. Hope you don't mind the outsiders!
