Projects 'nother HAMB Drags build.....

painted frame a few weeks ago ,,, got the body painted today... gona start assembly sooooooooooon........

 

I cant wait to see it run!!!

did some work over the weekend. heres where were at . wont have the hilborn on it... ... running out of time and money, so we're gone put the crossram back on it with some better carbs....

well i got the car back to my shop. Gary (hotrod69) did a jam up job on paint/body and assembly, Now i got to put the wires and pluming in and get it tuned in. Dont have time or money right now for the Hilborn so i cleaned up some newer carbs for the crossram. Hamb Drags are getting close.........

IT RUNS....... got it strated up today , my bud Paul " Peewee" Pettway came over and tuned it for me. hes a retired mechanic , and ran one of those side-by-side intakes on a Belair back in the day , and has a engine tuner . hes a wizard with a motor. got a few more thing , but gona try a test run next weekend.

 

got it on the road for some test runs infront of the house. shes wild on the p.o.s road i live on , like to took out a fence..... gary (hotrod69) did most of the build so he named it. he gets a lot of poeple picking on him cause of his white beard , so that where the name came from. here he is on the maiden run.....

thanks all for the pics . those r great.

"so what did it run" well............ we are have carb problems. the car drive wonderful. straight and smooth. i got a mid 12 out of it but more 13s. the carbs arent working right . we got 11.80s last year with the green car. might try and get that hilborn overhauled sooner then later.
