Looks like some integrated hub/brake for a wire wheel of some kind...

given the size of the holes for the 'spokes' and the width of the brake surface I'd say bike?

But beyond that I got nuthin...

    Indy car brakes?

Looks similar to the ones on the Miller/Offy cars from about 1929?

I think is '40's-'50's Italian or French racer--think I have a picture somewhere. 8 or 10 hours rooting through olde books at home and I'll have it...

  17. There's a thing just like it in my washing machine.

  18. It's surely a wheel hub/brake... and those look like spoke holes.

    No clue for what, though..

I'd say Early Caddy or Pierce Arrow rear but I don't remember any wheels with those ribs. Other than that, they look about right. No bolt pattern means maybe European knock offs and drums, pre disk brake.

Having said all this, it's probably a damned Fordson or IH cornbinder tractor hub!:D

    Nice quiz

I´d say it´s not from a car at all. My first thought was a front brake drum from a 60s-70s race bike, maybe Ducati?
    I´ll think again...
