I'm really considering white, cream or some where before yellow on my hiboy coupe but can't remember seeing any lately.
I'm in the same predicament. My wife want to paint our '32 white, but in pearl white to match her late model driver, an '07 Solara. I'm not too sure that would look right on the roadster. It's currently 3 different shade of crap primer. I'm an getting tired of the unfinished look.
There is a white 5w in the Pacific North West that was featured in Hop Up 10. I'll look for the pics...
I recall seeing white Deuce coupe several years ago and it stood out like a sore thumb,,kinda look like a refrigerator white,,,not a good color in my opinion,,but it's your car. I did see a cream colored Deuce 5 window at Pigeon Forge,Tenn. last year when we were cruising the strip that knocked my socks off but I never saw it at the show,,I even stopped to check it out. HRP
just wondeing, what type/color wheels will you go with? to me thats what makes white work/or not work. i can say this because i have 2 white vehicles, well white and rust. anyway.wheels?
Here's where it gets weird, The motor, wheels, and front suspension pieces that aren't plated or SS are already painted gold.
not weird, white and gold look good together.reminds me of one of my favorite roundtrack racers.red farmer f-97 white car gold scallops gold wheels.looked sharp.but it was a race car.
i guess this is what makes the world go 'round. never into vanilla always opted for chocolate or? but not vanilla. it really isn't whetther we like it. but since you ask the question it would seem you aren't into it either.
I'm thinking something like Ford Wimbledon white. The gold is reminiscent of Halibrand wheel protective coating and gold irridated zinc plating. I'm liking the idea but just can't visualize it.
Egad ... !!! Wouldn't want that to happen ...!!!! (And yes, I do know what you really meant. I'm just kiddin'.)
I did a 32 HR&HP highboy convertible in 05 Chrysler French Vanilla with black top and interior and many years ago (1982) did a 32 FF sedan in 82 Ford Vanilla Cream with black top insert and grille and a dark red interior. Both cars drew a lot of cameras.
Had a glass 32 roadster about 15 years ago. Painted it a real bright white and everything else was trimmed in a deep Navy Blue. Car really looked great even if it was mine. It always turned heads and it wasn't even finished. Sold it about a year after getting it on the road. I missed steel...lol. 48 poncho
