flathead oil filter line

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by thecockeyedwallaby, Aug 18, 2010.

  1. I seem to recall originally, the oil line from the block in to the oil filter was a 1/4 inch hard line. Is that correct? Currently mine is a rubber hose and I want to return it to the hard line, but I can not find a fitting that mates to the threads on the 1/4 inch line to the threads in the block. Why is this so hard to find? Napa, Lordco, etc all look at me funny when I show them what I need...

Must be pipe threads, try a hardware store.

You need an 1/8" pipe thread to a 1/4" IFF tubing adaptor. Any decent hardware store or auto parts place should have them. Napa has them, that's where I bought mine.
