I noticed the passenger side is salt flats aero with the lay of the shingles,, but the drivers side is not so good. If you were to spin out it would have to be a left turn spin,, if not you would end up looking like the out house after a toronado went through.
    Rear fenders are 36 Dodge?

Those look like the Shingles from the "Shit on a Shingle" that they used to serve in the USMC mess halls.

I believe that this is one car that you can truly say has patina.

Poverty flats where do you find these interesting photos ,I love the towtruck towing the car. So that is what a chevy looks like if the steel rots away ,Usually the wood rot first......

Can't use shake shingles out here any more...too dangerous in the brush fire prone areas, they guy would have to retofit with some nice fireproof stuff.

Probably would add alot of weight to the car too, maybe go with fiberglas?

    It's definitely a woody...

  18. I think it's one of those very rare Henweigh TwoHolers that never got finished.

  19. I like the cultivator wheels......

  20. It's a Rolls Canardly........

  21. That car was raced in the 50's and was sponsored by Cracker Barrel.

  22. Paul...you've out done yourself this time.
Rear fenders, with the wide bead, look more like '36 GM, but not Chebie.

Hmmm??? Not sure what it is...or maybe
more correctly, what it was.....but it looks
like the owner suffered from a severe case
    of shingles!!!:eek::eek::D

  24. I did a little research and the racer who piloted this car was Jethro Bodine:

  25. Yup, I'd say '37-'38 Dodge/MOPAR rear fenders. They're not Ford.

The left side has more wind drag then the right .It was raced on a counter clockwise track.
