Hello. Was at the Symco Shakedown yesterday and was told to check out the H.A.M.B. so here I am. I hope to make some friends and maybe pick up some ideas for our '41 IH pickup.
I have one idea for you IHC... don't spend a lot of money.... keep it easy and cheap. You'll have lots of extra cash if you don't open that old wallet and pull out the plastic.
We were at last year's Shakedown also. It was cool last year and twice as cool this year. I'm lucky enough to live only fifteen minutes from the thresheree grounds, so this is a local event for me. The thresheree in July is a cool event if you're into antique tractors. I guess I should have put in my profile that I have a '53 Farmall Super H tractor as well. That does have something to do with why I chose an IH pickup for a project. Not sure what direction I want to go with the IH truck yet. I got some good ideas at the shakedown. Cheap and unique, and driveable is what we have in mind. Haven't made up my mind if I want pretty paint or just primer. For power maybe a nailhead? I would love an early Hemi, but let's be realistic. I'm on a budget. We'll talk more soon. Thanks for the warm welcome guys! KC
