This is my 51 chevy. Bagged in the rear, 56 bumper, some other mods. 383 sbc, 700r4, camaro rear end. Not very traditional, but I enjoy it.

Looks pretty cool. The exhaust coming out of the bumper is a cool trick. For some reason it reminds me of a cartoon car though.

Thats what I was going for. A little cartoony, still with decent lines.

I'm sure the traditional police are going to arrest you, but man I think that thing is neat! The roof has a pretty slick profile into the trunk and I love the backend with that bumper and exhaust coming through. I think it could use a molded grill shell and some skirts at some point but I think you have a pretty wild out there car!

Thanks. It's a work in progress, but it runs, drives, and stops. So I'll enjoy it while working on it

i know this is your car and your gonna make it how you want it. to me its all wrong. it doesnt flow at all. there looks to be a pinch in the top of the rear window where the roof meets. also where the top of the rear window bends down. you can tell that it curves more in the c pillar. the roof is to flat now too. like i said its your car and you did what you wanted, but there are gonna be people who dont like it. there are people who dont like my car and they have told me. drive it and have a good time.

how did you do the rear end?

  10. Looks fine to me. Let me ask you a question. Did you build it for yourself or for the people on this board?

Looks kool to me, ok its not traditional but i like clean extreme chops.
I dont understand how you could see flaws in the roof from such a low res photo....must have a good eye.
    Finish it and enjoy it.

I'm loving that rear bumper. Is that a california one piece bumper?
