Helluva Auction. I can't wait to see the build and final pics. This was a great showing of generosity by all HAMBers who came together and donated parts, labor and time. My hat's off to you all (well if I wore a hat).

    Congrats Pooch.

okay, here's the plan after 22 hrs, 354 chrysler hemi, no blower sticking through the hood, torqueflite 8 trans, heaven knows flogging a Topo down the track leaves little time for shifting. Norwell's paint design by Earl. Rear end still thinking.
T-shirts at the Drags this year and a surprise.

That sounds like a heck of a plan!

Will T Shirts be available for those that can't make the HAMB Drags? If so count me in for one!

Yes T-shirts will be available after the Drags more on that later. I don't think we will be quite ready for the Ardmore drags. My machine shop is very good but also slow, but we don't mind waiting for quality.

OK guys, been away until today as am in Thailand. Im cool with the outcome so no stress, in fact I feel like I have won anyway as now have several more HAMB friends so thats great by me. I bid as high as I could and as late as I thought possible and didnt win. Its that simple. Also a shout out to another HAMBer who offered to kick in some cash to keep me in the game - he doesnt want his name mentioned but that was AMAZING.

Jeff you champ re the plaque mate, such another generous offer. I have a 33 leaving LA in a couple of weeks so maybe we can get it in that if possible if not thats cool too, no rush.

Also a big thanks to all those who contributed and bid. I was in a little internet cafe on the side of a dusty road in Thaliand, needless to say the locals wondered why I was so anxious lol.

Finally to the winner - Pooch you dog ;) good on ya mate! It was fun!

    Viva Le HAMB!

PS thanks to everyone that has commented with such nice words about me. Maybe we can go out drinking one night and change your views LOL. :)

PPS Really need a torque tube and driveshaft for a V8 33\34 - Sorry shameless plug :)

  22. Jeff,
Are you gonna change the engine in the Martian artwork to a Hemi instead of what appears to be a nailhead?

Just stirrin' the pot is all. ;)

I think the banner might follow the car everywhere it goes. That way everyone that works on it can sign it.
