I just got passed on my way home by an old truck with a 5 window cab, the 40's style front end and a step side bed. Man it was haulin! Has anyone else ever seen this before? pics? it looked awsome!
maybe his is one of a kind... how hard would this be to do? would the hood/cab/bed match up or would they have to be cut, welded, ect?
what is a "lulz?" don't talk computer language to the old guys on here, I know: lol, wtf, and lmao... thats it. if it has the red squiggly thing when you post it Don't Post it!
The model change-over from Art Deco to Advance Design happened in 1947. Which front end are you talking about? The Art Deco or Advance Design. As for going fast, isn't that just basic hot rodding?
That front end with the 5 window cab and this style bed: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:6,s:44&biw=1440&bih=673
I saw one recently at a show (Good Guys Puyallup?) Custom put together ride, five window cab with earlier nose. Nicely done, but didnt really flow to well in my eyes. Actually I think it was for sale at the Monroe swap meet.
That one's been around for a while. I got some photos of it at The Run to Roslyn a few years ago. Nice truck, I think he said he narrowed the cab several inches along with the other mods. Looks like my photos of the truck are pre digital so I'll have to dig a bit.
Pieced together for sure, would take a fair amount of doing to get that cab to accept that front clip. I would have chosen something besides the 60"s style stepside bed.
I'd be delighted to see pictures. It sounds interesting but I'm sure isn't something I'm likely to contemplate doing.
