JAWS; that's gonna look KILLER ! what year is it ?? my friend and I have a '41 Chevy Coupe ,,on a '70's Chevelle chassis we're werking on ,,slowly tho ,,as funds dictate of coarse ,,
1946. It's on a stock chassis with mods. MustangII front and a frame notch with custom leafs. Smallblock/auto. I know the funds part of it. Thanks for the compliment.
My friends Dad has a body shop here ,,been in business for about 30 years ,,we wanna chop our '41 ,,i have a mint set of '55 Buick side trim ,,wanna start it on the side of the hood ,,down the side and over the rear fenders ,,that will let us two tone it ,,colors ??? who knows at this point ,,we have a heavily werked over 431 cube Small Block Chevy stock car motor for it and a re werked TH-400 ,,along with my friends Ford 9 inch outa his stock car ,,that he totalled at the race track last year ,,i finnally convinced him to get into hot rod kustoms instead of wasting all that money on "dirt baller" cars
I dig that fleetline alot! CONNMAN, how much are you thinking of chopping it? Mine is 1 1/2 in front and 2 1/4 in the rear.
Pro 48 Fleetline ;; Very kQQl man ,,my very first car ,in '58,was a black $100 dollar '47 Chevy Fleetline ,,i scalloped it in red n yellow ,,painted a car name on it 'Linda Lou" ,,,blew the bearings outa it one day on the way home from school ,,my Dad just junked it ,,i wanted to put a new motor in it ,,in '70 ,when i got back from Alaska ,,i went to Marshalltown to see sum old school buddys ,went by that junk yard ,and my old Fleetline was still there ,,however sitting on it's roof ,,in '83 ,,my new wife and i took that route past the junk yard to go to her folks' in Grinnell ,,that damn Fleetline was still there ,,on its roof ,,
Jaws; not positive yet ,,but thinking of 2 1/2 front 3 1/2 rear ,and do the quarter windows kinda like you did ,,but then ,,not set in stone yet ,,
In the movie Jimmy Shine was just a name they used. It is merely a coincidence. Besides, Jimmy Shine would have been a little kid when that movie was done.
That is one of the best looking choptop shoeboxes I have seen in some time any chance of seeing what the back looks like Man that grille fits and looks right, never seen one like it!!
