Hey Bro, Would love to see the Lifters there this yera, missed you guys the past few years. Anyway I'll Try to make it to your event, but I got a bunch of other events I been putting to try and raise some chump change for our children programs with the county parks. When is your date?
I just looked at my calendar and I have it marked for Altadena...... huh? Must have been that mushroom pizza a few months back...
Yeah it was at one point, the county parks had double booked my event with the County Sheriff's Concert in the park!!!!!.. I then booked it at thousand trails in Acton back in April, but then County Code enforcement wouldn't give me an event permit there because Thousand Trails Conditional Use Permit has been expired ever since 2006.. I didn't get this information until the end of May... So then I had to move it again!!!!!!!!!!!!... It's been a real bitch trying to Keep the original date but I was able to do it and I now have everything I need along with the blessings from the Sheriff, Code Enforcement and the whole enchilada!!!... The story runs deeper than that.. I'll be blogging on it after the event when I have the time.. For now it's time to let everyone know about the changes...and get everyone up to snuff on the low down. Gonna be a killer event, got some really great entertainment lined up... Good Times! Hey - Due to Larry Watson's recent passing, Moldy is planning a remembrance from 4:00 to 4:30 or so for folks to gather and honor one of the true original custom greats. Many of you knew him personally, and there will be an opportunity for folks to share stories and thoughts about Larry as part of this year's Rat Fink party.
Well, this year's event was fantastic. The new location was great! Very relaxed, fun, and lots of cool cars. We had a blast. Thanks Moldy! Count us in again for next year.
