WHATEVER you do, DO NOT buy parts from CADILLAC KING worst place EVER, will send you the wrong stuff and tell you thats what you ordered, then when you send it back they will ask you if you think its easy to find these parts and you should be glad he sent it to you in the first place. Got beat on about 500 bucks worth of parts, but I have store credit HA HA... just a heads up
Watch the guy in vegas too ............ return policy sucks !! sent the wrong part and wanted a 20% restocking fee and would give a store credit !! I kept the part and framed it as a reminder...... after I bought $3,000 bucks worth of parts from him. Never again !
I will second this completely. It's not actually a question of if. They WILL lie and cheat you. I'm still seething. Think of them as the Nigerian scammers of the used parts world. Good luck.
F U * % The Cadillac King !!!!!!!!!!!! This shop is a bunch of rude pricks, dont give these jerkoffs none of your money!!!
It always amazes me how jackasses like this seem to stay in business!!! My condolences to your hardship. FYI... You should steer clear of Marty at Eelco also. He's a real piece of work!
I called that place once and it was truly my last time. I have never been put on hold for that long only to be picked up and told the part I'm looking for wasn't in stock. I've had good luck with cooper's vintage here in SoCal. They used to be in Burbank but now moved to San Fernando. very helpful, and knowledgable, staff.
Yup and I got a horrible power steering pump. leaks right out of the top. Where do you think would be the best place to go? I like Graves auto, but now they got baught and are like an auto zone.
Thanks a bunch! Haven't dealt with anyone yet so I can't put my .02 in... ...will keep this thread in mind tho.
And when I asked to speak to the owner I was told he is not in the country and they have no way to reach him . Spread the word about these thieves to keep others from getting ripped off , here's a link to the guys I'm talking about http://www.cadillacking.com/
I talked with the 'King' last year...declined to do business with his 'highn-ass'. In my experience, anyone that dubs himself 'king' of anything has a given degree of pompousity. This guy is seriously lacking in character. His email addy proves it: Cadil-lacking, (my hyphen) I know about this self-ordained 'king' business. In San Jose, they called me "the fuck king". (every time they'd see me coming, they'd say, "Oh no, here cones that Fuck-king Mike!") LOL
Lets all get something straight here, It's the cadillac QUEEN. I dont even think they deserve that title.
I agree, I wanted to get a different rear end for my '56 and he tried to hussle me for $100 because he would have to jack up the car and count the gear teeth or something stupid. When I grabbed his 1956 shop manual off the shelf and showed him the correct tab/stamping to look for he acted like he hadn't ever heard of that. It was insulting. I've been driving from out of state ever since when I need parts. Total prick.
if your looking for good used stuff try flat top bob on the board in wellington tx or gar at a&a auto in brentwood ca. both good dudes.
