Event Coverage goodguys des moines iowa july 4th weekend ! who's going ?

I'll be there for sure. I'm picking up Steve, (36cab) on the way out in the AM. I'll probably be parked in the home built lot. I'll put me cell number in the window.

 

was great seeing everyone this weekend! I have to go to MO now for family stuff - wish I could have stayed all 3 days - maybe next year!

 

I enjoyed seeing the George Poteet #7 pickup.

IMO, the event has outgrown the venue. Friday, we walked at least 10 miles and saw about 3/4 of the cars. You cannot go back the next day and see the rest ... they will all do a big shuffle and be in different spots.

 

I thought it was a great show! Drove my Volkstruck four hours from the Twin Cities without any major problems and had a blast all weekend! I think the show is the perfect size and the fairgrounds are just beautiful. There's enough cars that you don't see the same ones all day and its fun to try and hunt down the cars you see coming in. The Auto-cross was fun to watch and the air conditioned vendor building was quite the treat on Saturday. The cruising was fun too, that has all but stopped at Back to the Fifties now so it was a treat to see guys making laps all day long. I will definitely attend this show again.

 

Always a good time in Des Moines, weather was great except for today but I didn't mind the 7 hour drive in the rain.

We had 20 folks show up and I got to meet a bunch more folks that I had never seen before.




The more I look at CarKiller Cal I have to wonder is he trying to impersonate me?
