I spent yesterday afternoon meandering through the Kansas City Art Institute grounds looking at beautiful cars and motorcycles. Studebaker Racer
Alright, Kustomizers, who's car is this? What did it start its life as? What special touch does the paint have?
I was trying to talk some parts out these guys. They humored me but sent me packing empty handed. Sheesh! it was only a couple of dash panels. The red one was an original with a beautiful patina.

Last one before I head to the shop. I want to kustomize this Merc! I'm thinking some Conestoga wheels, Canvas Top, Channeled, and an REO steering tiller!
Thank you chucklz for posting these. This is the actually the first time I've seen the Bobby Darin dream car in color!!
I was there! Of course, I did a story about it to go along with my pictures. I'm going to post up my older, big Classic car entry tonight. That was one of the best shows I've been to around here in a long time. Plus, I think I sweat out ten pounds!
Hey, The paint on Bobby Darin's rig was originialy" diamond dust " covered, but when repainted, was done in a pearl urethane, not lacquer. 'looks like the cowl panel and windshield are from a '58-'63 Mopar. Does anyone know who/what shop built it? " Spending a nation into generational debt is not an act of compassion "
