I love it, I'm just starting my 50 2 Dr Sedan & I want to do the same to drop it. Very nice, keep up the great work & Thanks for the pictures.
Thats a GREAT car man, love all those pics! That shows you dont have to have major body changes to have a a great looking car. That thing lowered, with good paint is all you need. No chop needed in my opinion. Looking forward to seeing more pics!
"Picked up a Merc crank and heads..." You know, of course, that the Merc heads have larger chambers (to keep the compression ratio consistent between the two makes when new), so using the Merc heads will actualy cause you to lose compression (all other things being equal).
Check out my avatar circa 1960's and my first car. My car buddy just returned from Montana with a 1950 2door shoebox, one owner and original black paint. he acquired it from a little old lady that had it stored in her barn for 30yrs. If I can get him to hold still long enough I will take a picture of it and post it.
sharing a garage with the SCCA guys? funny how just looking at a few photos I can tell what garage that is.
well wish I caught this sooner, I would of ran up their for a peek! You should see another in the area soon, I just sold my track car I was building and now on the hunt for a shoebox of my own. edit: Forgot to add I LOVE this car and what you've done with it, expect questions from me soon
