Event Coverage Central Cal BBQ June 5th

Hey HAMBers, Its that time of year again...... The locals of the Merced/Atwater area are throwing out an invite to ALL Central Valley hot rodders to come BBQ with us on June 5th at Veterans Park in Atwater, Ca.

This is a bring your own meat and brew type of event... we will have the local 4H BBQ trailer with coals going. Last year we had burgers, hot dogs, carne asada, and linguica all goin at the same time.

Veterans Park is a nice shady venue and has a play ground with swings for the kiddies. Bring your EZ UP and sunblock but there will be picnic tables.


SHOW UP, BRING YOUR ROD or KUSTOM.

 

Drew didn't put up a time so just to let you know we'll be meeting up around 12 pm. Hope everyone can make it out for some good BBQ.

 

Hey Bros.... I may try and make it down in Mizz Moonshine, let ya'll say goodbye to her before she moves on... LOL... Seriously, I will do my best to make it down! Dru, you gonna get me a police escort back so I can drink and drive?

I've sold all my runners in the last couple of months, but i'll be there!

 

I'm goin to try to get the BBQ there and fired up around 11:45 or so. that way she'll be reday to rock when people show up. Hope you all can make it.

 

Nicki and I will be there so she can show off her new Ride! I'll bring the big green ugly again full of tables, chairs, and the EZ up. We're still not sure what we're gonna bring out to cook so we are open to suggestions.

 

Liz and I will try to make it out too. I dont have anything that runs right now other than the OT vehicles though.

Andrew, when are you going to stop by the house? lol

 

Man...I wish I had time to stop by my own house ha ha. Feels like all I do is run from one spot to the next.

We had a good turnout last year. Who else is gonna make it? Havent heard from Oppy yet....or Jim.

Hey Jim make sure Tracy and Norm know they are invited to come hang out, too.


AND MM you better bring your Ragin Cajun ass down here, it aint that far. And Youll have to do like everyone else and just plant that right tire on the fog line and pray.

 

Sounds like its goin to be another good turnout this year. i some other guys that aren't on the HAMB will be there also.

 

Sunday morning bump for anyone in the Valley that likes BBQ and cars.....

 

...and a Holiday bump for those lumps at home today.

 

Just a few more days until the BBQ, who else is coming??

 

Saturday is quickly approaching, looking forward to getting out in the car and having some fun.

Looks like Nicki and I are going to bring some hot links and all the fixins' for them and she's going to make some baked goodies. Last year was fun guys don't miss this one!

 

Drove by the park today, they have been doing alot of construction and the road and driveway are ALOT nice than last year.

 

Well guys I know I'm going to miss out on a good time but, my daughter won a couple of Grizzlie tickets and she wants me to go with her so I'm headed to Fresno after work on Saturday.

Ill be in town, at home probably. Liz is working late that day, dont know that we can make it. How late did you guys stay around last time?

 

I guess we will be there till we are gone....I know Ill have a 4yr old with me that will let me know when its time to go ha ha.

 

Bag issues... I would be scraping the whole way... gonna try and track down the wiring that has came loose and try and make it... will let you know in the morning...

 

We were out there pretty late last time. I think we started to pack up just before it started getting dark. We mostly just play it by ear, this thing isn't that formal more of a come and go as you please deal. Should be fun, see you all tomarrow!

 

One final,....Ricks got the trailer and we are headed out in about 3 hours.

Wish I could have made it. I ended up getting the Dodge running again, and played with the dump bed. Next time for sure. Im shooting for being able to drive the Dodge to Sonic next month.
