Wow!!! Just found this thread. I love any off the path builds. Don't care what, as long as it makes you think, and say why not. I'm very much into radical builds and cars that combine thought and problem solving. I'm a Pontiac nut and am building a 1963 Full size Pontiac Catalina----gasser style build. I say "gasser style" because I got all kinds of hassels because "it can't be a Gasser since it ain't period correct". Yup, and I ain't period correct either. I like the look but with more modern mechanicals. The '63 is right now at the chassis shop getting the '57 Chevy truck front beam axle grafted on. I would love to put it on myself but I know I would forever worry that I didn't this safely or that safely. Most everything else I plan to do. I was reading and of all times to get that spyder bite and knock you down, when you need to be in good shape the most. Sounds like my luck. But I really am enjoying reading about your Falcon/Buick build. Just another name you can throw around, "RUFFLED FEATHERS", Heh. And you have a beautiful and wonderful wife. I would not be where I am with out mine. Good talking at ya and keep those electrons typing. I'm watching the build now. Go MAn Go!! Mark L

Thought I'd pop in to say I loved seeing your car at Viva this year.
I even have a goofy picture of me next to it....And one of me next to KiwiKevs.

I'm too nervous to talk to people so I just pretend that I'm cool and stand next to
the cars. I honestly walked between your and Kevs cars for 10 minutes just looking
at the little stuff you can't see on the internet. I was soo excited.

I also noticed that on of the front panard bar bolts was hitting the frame.
I'm sure you got it taken care of by now.

Doesn't get much more Wildcat/Bird/Strange/Parts Scavenging than this.

It is a first draft...opinions welcome...

Thanks for the praise! I wasn't around the car much, I had a brown recluse bite me and I literally almost died the day before, so I spent most of my time in the hotel room. That bolt was a brain fart! Its still in there like that....I have to change it when I get a chance, its in backwards.

I like it! Looks better in a bigger format than on my dinky phone screen.

Easily one of the best builds out there right now. Good to see it's running.

Anyone have an ST400 flexplate they want to find a new home for?

I can't find one except for the crappy Eelco ones, and I'm not about to do business with that Marty guy again.

Not a Nailhead but per HRM March 64 this Falcon AHRA C/Gas class championship winner owned by Joe Herbert turned 104mph powered by a 380ci Pontiac running a tripower and a Hydro.

Cool car man. Hotrodding is about going fast, cars that don't fit the mold keep it interesting. Besides that brand loyalty without sponsorship was usually to your favorite engine, what it ended up in was up to you. I'd tell people "I bought it this way from Ivo, it was a still born project he never got to finish":D....

no offense but you ruined a nice, stock falcon. i would have preferred to see it only slightly modified, maybe with a 289 hipo but retaining much of the stock look.

Now thats an interesting comment  I should be pissed that I did not go more wild on mine, you have one of the most wild cars being built out there, I hope your ready for the magazine articles when its done because your car is going to be a hot item.

You must be kidding me! The car was far from nice. It had no interior, no gauges, and the motor was clapped out. Ruined is a strong word to use on a $200 ex-parts car hahaha.

MAYBE THIS VISUAL WILL HELP YOU.....

  30. My english isn't always spot-on, but by ruined you must mean he gave it a soul.

It's not like he taped off the windows and tires and painted it all a weird aqua blue color.
