Event Coverage Santa Maria 2010 - Pictures!

FRIDAY:

We arrived at the cruise at about 7:30 and jumped into line...
Christine was taking pictures, I was driving...

It took me a couple of seconds to realize that I was cruising next to Gene in the Jade Idol II - Crazy!







Man it was fun!

SATURDAY (we didn't have batteries until the cruise to dinner that afternoon.. no pix at the show)







There were 12 or 15 cars rolling out to Los Alamos.






Really nice drive through the rolling hills and vineyards. Cool old houses too.






Once we reached Los Alamos, only 3 of us continued on to the Hitching Post.

No after shot... but I'm betting that we each gained about 30 lbs in there... Damn it was good, probably the best meal I've had in years, no shit.

SUNDAY:
Everyone was getting a late start (or not showing up at all) on Sunday. Christine popped off a couple of pictures.. (Um, 4)

hey dude thanks for sharing...it was nice talking to you sat (I was the dude with the white 59 wagon)! Living in Santa Maria, I can tell you that the Hitching is the best food around and you would never think it with the location! Glad you got to experience it!

MONDAY

We stopped in Solvang on the way back to San Diego. A couple of the cars that cruised with us to Los Alamos were there... we didn't see the owners, though.





You have not been to Solvang until you get a stranger to take your picture infront of a windmill... We have been to Solvang.


that's it..

It was a killer weekend. The show was really fun. Weather was perfect. Pismo Beach was an excellent crash site after the show. Denise, Megan, (I suck at remembering names) and Colleen- thanks for hooking up with us for dinner!

And it was great to meet a bunch of HAMBers!

As a local, I am glad you got to experience the Hitching Post. I am lucky enough to have it locally.. I actually commented on your truck on Sunday to one of my club mates. (you pulled behind the first building by the front entrance on the left. That was Headhunter central on Sunday) Man, what a clean Chevy pick up!!!! Next year, if you see the HEADHUNTER banner, stop and ask for Geoff. Happy you enjoyed your stay here..

It was the best. I just had the head on my 235 replaced, the pickup just sailed up there 65-70 mph the whole way.

It was really cool to see your club there in force! You guys have some real quality rides.

It was nice to meet you, too. Did you have your RPU there?? If so, I'm sorry I missed it.
