cool car!!!!!! have any more pics?! heres my buddies '38 chevy. its a '70's hot rod that he morphed into a little older style but he loves the purple

 

Cadbury Purple , Ford Australia painted Falcons in this colour......

 

Purple is far from gay. Reds closer to pink anyway. Why not question them? Anyways, break out of the ordinary colors. Check out the House of Kolor line. They have a color called burple. Which is a mixture of cobalt blue and purple. Im gonna paint my car this color. Mix ur own colors. spray a couple of panals. I dunno, Im sure im gonna get shit about this color. but man, I seem to get shit everyday when I go to school because im taking it apart to paint it so...... ur investing ur time and money not ur friends, (money atleast). My advise would be do it if u really like it. Wasn't scrape purple ?

Anybody remember this? It may have been the first Hot Rod Mag I ever saw and I thought that Purple coupe was the coolest car ever.....not too sure now about the pink sparkplug wires and interior but I like the metallic purple paint.

You have just pissed off every member of the Beatniks Purple Kustoms look great. Like Robert Williams said "kustoms are for getting girls and hot rods are for running away from them " chicks dig purple right? Purple was averypopular color bitd also - Barris used the term eggplant on many of the cars they did.

My Buddy has a O/T 327/S-10. It was purple when he got it. I call the color, "statutory grape".

 

Here's a couple of our '34 - it's primer, tinted purple - with clear over it and dulling agent...
