    Ive got a line on a chrysler cowl..im gonna find out about in the a.m....i think you will see then that the roof is fairly low already! Im just having fun with it, i hadnt stopped laughing all afternoon after the body plopped right in place on that chassis!!

    It was most likely cut to make a truck in the 40's. With a truck you could get more gas during WW2

    No, but for real, those neighbors are the best, they are nearing their 90s and have been together since their early teens... he is actually in an earlier picture...I have no idea what that sign is from but it is funny as hell...it may be from their annual church fair where they used to sell plants...flowers, perrenials, annuals...not "those" plants:D

    Man ,seeing your neighborhood makes me miss Bass River ! Out here in Phoenix there is no neighborhood as cool as back home on Cape Cod! Great find by the way

  29. If anyone is still subscribed, I agree this is a Rex Top and quite rare. They were also offered to create closed car models by the Dodge Brothers on their early cars. I'm currently looking at a 1916 Dodge with Rex Winter Top conversion that could be unbolted and the touring cloth top /bows bolted back on in summer.

    Would Studebaker have used Rex to make the Duplex?
    The Duplex window shape, trim lines etc sure seem to match what came home on the trailer.
