  11. Hey ..., "This is the Shit" [IMG]! I was just pricing trany's and with all the parts I want and with a torq convertor I'd easily be around $1,200 - $1,500!

"Do I have the winning bid..., [IMG]?"

Not only am I getting a deal but the HAMB benefits! Ryan just tell me where I send the money..., I'm fired up! [IMG]

For those of you bidding on the 700R4, I just want you to know that when we build these trannys for hot rod applications we set them up as a hydraulic lock up convertor as opposed to you having to wire up any controls or need a computer. It turns out as a 4 speed w/ lockup convertor (feels like a 5 speed when we are done)and NO WIRING NEEDED.Now you can run those dump truck gears & still go down the road at a decent rpm. BTW, when auction is over, send the money directly to Ryan. Dave

Shifts, that is exactly what I was wanting.. a good multi-gear tranny and some 4:11 gears to get my wagon off the line on the same day I hit the gas pedal..

Are you saying it can not be shifted as an automatic?

JimC, the trans still shifts automatic. The only difference is that rather than having the lock up torque convertor operating by electronics, we do it w/ hydraulics. We can set the lock up speed to your specs. All we need to know is what rear tire size you have & rear gear ratio. This is a nice setup. Dave

I'm running a 700R4 set up the way "Shifts" is telling you about (no wires). It works killer - I can do a smokin 2 wheel burnout off the line and still fly down the Interstate at 70mph at around 1,800rpm (3.25 gears out back).

This tranny is the shit boys - pony up!

    Way generous contribution Shifts!

    I am still in, then.
I would use it in the 47 Ford coupe.

Shifts, Is the hydrualic methods a standard way of doing the 700R4's now adays. I have not heard of that methods.. only the electronic or aftermarket switch set up (no computer needed)
Curious as I am thinking of putting in a higher big but want to understand.. Also how critical is it to know the grear ratio (I have not chosen that yet)..

Boones, you can only do the hydraulic method on 88 & older model 700s. As far as gear ratio, its only to tailor the governor for your application. However, we send extra governor springs along in case you want to change shift timing. Its a no brainer to do. Dave

It seems like the 700R4 is the trans most of you guys want, so I'm gonna sweeten the deal a little bit. I will include a new Chevy flywheel, convertor bolts, dipstick, universal kickdown cable, flywheel cover & trans mount. This is everything you need to install this in your rod.Remember, this is for the HAMB!!! Dave
