I need to find a master cylinder identical to this one ('67 Full Size Chev.) but with the lines coming out of the PASSENGER side instead. I'm certain this exists but I just can't remember in my junkyard crawling what application it is.

    Anyone know???

    Thanks, Steve weim55 Colorado

The Corvette Dual Master Cylinders have ports on both sides.

Unfortunately all the Corvette dual pots use the larger bore master (that I know of) , that master is too big to clear the clutch linkage. I'll need the smaller drum brake master to work properly.

    Ideas??

Maybe even a ford unit of some sort??

Try a Cardone #10-1292. I had one on a Jeep DJ5 (RHD Postal) It had the ports on the opposite side. I think it also was OEM on alot of 70's Jeeps and AMC cars. I just got the number off the old box in the garage.

When I worked at NAPA, I could usually find a master cylinder application by cross referencing the casting number from the old one.

I got it! Thanks AAFD, I used the part # you posted and crossed it at NAPA today. This cylinder is perfect for what I need.

It's a NAPA 36237. Brand new, no core, sixty bucks and made in the USA.

Anybody know what the port on the bottom is for?

My best guess is maybe for bench bleeding

  14. Or a brake light switch?

If that is a pressure port on the bottom of the unit this cylinder would be a total home run. My '60 Buick uses a brake light switch on the original master cylinder.

    Too cool.....
