Event Coverage Sat May 8 Road Zombies CC Benefit for Johnny (Kool Cat Kustoms) S. San Francisco

Our good friend, Johnny Koonce, Owner of Kool Cat Kustoms of San Jose, CA and Sponsor of Booze Broads & Hotrods, had EVERYTHING stolen from his shop on Easter Sunday. We are urging our community to pull together to support Johnny and to help him get back on his feet.

Tool Donations
The Road Zombies CC will provide a TOOL DRIVE sign-up list at the May 8 Benefit if you would like to sign-up to donate tools to Johnny. Johnny does not currently have a shop to house tools so we ask that you please DO NOT bring tools to benefit show.

Raffle Donations
If you would like to donate raffle items, please bring the items to the May 8 benefit, by 8:30pm. If you have questions, about the raffle, email [email protected]

Sadly, I will be missing this. I will be out of the country for my big brother's wedding, so at least, my excuse is good.

 

PLEASE come out and support Johnny... all proceeds go to getting Johnny back on his feet. All bands and DJs involved are volunteering their time for FREE! We need all the support we can get so we can put him on the right step towards regaining his livelihood!!! If he wasn't such a good s.o.b. I wouldn't bother askin'. Thank ya much! Spread the word!

 

I can not believe how many people are pulling for me. I am speechless! I just found out that the "High-Rythym Hustlers", "Tony T. & the Pendeltons" and "Kit and the Branded Men" will be playing and DJ Jett will be spinning some great records. All of them are donating their time for free to help me get a new shop going. Unbelievable!!! I really do not know what to say. Thank you all so much!!
I also want to thank my club brothers from the Road Zombies for putting this together for me, You guys are true brothers!
Thank all of you who are going to come out to this show for supporting me and helping me during this f**ked up time, I owe the hot rod community a big debt of gratitude. I never would have believed that so many people would be pulling for me and supporting me. I wish I were better with words, so that I could express my thanks. Thank you all!

I would really like to thank all the people who came out to the show last night, there were almost 150 people there, and I would like to thank all of you. Thank you to Christina and her Band "Kit and the Branded Men" and also to Raul and his "Hi Rythm Hustlers" as well as the "Pendeltons" for playing for me for free and rocking the house, the music was awesome!! Thank you to DJ Jett for spinning some awesome tunes, it was good meeting you!!

I would like to thank my Car Club, the Road Zombies for putting this whole thing together for me and having my back! I could not imagine a better group of guys to call my brothers! Thanks!
Also thank you to the "Bombshells" for helping me out and supporting me, especially Rachelle for making fliers and setting things up on the internet and going way out of her way to help. You Ladies are the best, love ya all!!

If all goes well I will be signing a lease for a new shop on Monday and then I will be setting up and getting organized and will hopefully be up and running in three weeks!
Once I get going and get some cash flowing I will be having a big thank you party at the new shop and every body will be invited!!!
