First I want to thank everyone on the HAMB who helped by answering all the questions I asked over the past few months. It's a huge learning process for me. Luckily I have found a local man here who has built a few cars over the years. He is now retired and working on my car with me... or I am working on it with him. It's at his house and I go over as time permits, usually about two nights a week. He does work on it in between so it's nice showing up and seeing progress as well. I have a set of '40 wheels and just picked up some Firestones from Coker at Carlisle (Got the Alliance member discount!). Anyway here are lots of pictures so enjoy. I am posting them from as found to current. As Found: Brought home: Work Starts: Some Clean up: Motor:
Glad to see your not choppin and cutting. The old B will run well, and while not a fire ball on the road it will be a lot of fun. My B was very noise when I got her and found the pistons were very well worn. So a rebuild fixed that, along with an Original Counter Balanced crank. She runs well and keeps up to traffic, and is just a dream to maintaine. Keep up the good work and enjoy your 32. Iceman
whew! what a relief it was when I saw the banger all pretty. I saw it coming apart and thought you were going to booger it all up and make a HOT ROD out of it. nice looking car.
Nice work. Interesting to see such enthusiasm for banger powered "big" cars rather than a thousand posts saying drop in an Olds etc.
