This car is fiberglass. I couldn't believe it!! He had it for sale last summer on EGAY. One of the few fiberglass cars I would own.
Real nice thread...great bunch of pictures...thanx to all for posting...I'll figure out how some day. Randy
This is a "Where is it now" post. Does anyone know where a black chopped 32 3 window coupe, full fendered, big headlights, SBC, 4 spd, Red Leather, coupe ended up? It was build by Dale Johnson in MN, went to Mich or Indiana? Most distinguishable feature was red steel wheels that had modified centers to accept a small deuce hubcap. It may be a highboy now.
saw it for sale on egay couple of days ago....whatever you type in...you will just end up with...."reserve not met"
Hey,just saw the yellow&black scalloped 3w.I used to own that car a long time ago.Tom Meers of the Philadelphia Modifiers built it originally.
this one was built in 1948 by Bo Knab, in Portland,OR...4 deuce Merc,Zephyr gears,chopped,channelled....sold in 52...ended up a 1/4 miler with Hemi power by 1959....been apart since then....I was fortunate enough to trade a running A roadster for the body, grille shell, frt axle, headlights, and a box of misc. pieces....plans now are to keep the same attitude...354 power (adapted where a flathead can go back in) 5 speed,Halibrand Champ and get it back together...
That car is a portland area favorite. That is a neat car would love to see it on the road. A chopped and channeled 32 3 window it dont get much better.
Saw the burton coupe for sale somewhere asking $129,000. Gorgeous car but I would only be able to afford it... or the house I live in.
