TopTinMan is down with Ebabe's C6. Serious vibrations and loosing fluid. Any suggestions of a shop to work on a '60 Ranch Wagon with a 351w/C6? They are on their way from Viva to Roundup.
The "best" shop in town is Kelley's (505) 881-4477, but they tend to be very busy, and somewhat arrogant (and not cheap). You might try The Pit Stop (505) 877-9414 in the south valley; limited personal experience, they seemed to be much more interested in their customers. Also got a C-6 a long time ago at United Transmissions, 888-1717, good experience. If a regular (non-trans) shop will do, try Christian's in the north valley, 899-2400. Good luck!
PM Metalman on here - he might have some more leads Or start PMing the folks on the NM Social Group: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=328 I'm not in ABQ anymore....
See if Fast Lane Auto on Wyoming and Central/Zuni (505) 254-9292 can do it. They are real close to the Fairgrounds.
If we were talking about a GM or Mopar tranny.. I'd voulnteer myself, I've been fixing them for the last 10 years. But I dont know a thing about Ford trannies! My knowlege of which transmission shops that are good at them around here is about as good as the yellow pages. I hope you are able to get it sorted out at a fair price!
