Who's got the coolest shift knob?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Slimegreeeeeen, Mar 31, 2010.

  1. We're fixin' to vend the Round Up again this year and bringin' a mind-bending selection. Custom painted knobs by CRASH!, J-Sin@Time Bomb, our pals at Zombie Nobs, Hot Rod Shift Knob's very own Leadfoot. We'll launch a new line of custom embedments. Lil' Daddy Roth glass glitter knobs. Tiki knobs from numerous sources (some of them reputable). Repurposed Vintage Crystal door knobs.
We'll show all of ours at the show. How about showing yours here?

this will be mine after i do some work to it..

my dad which is retired now and nearing 70yrs old took up wood carving and gave it to me as a Christmas present a few years ago, he also carved me a miniature totem pole, but i like the face on this on better.. just thought it would make a cool shifter knob and conversation piece if anyone asked.

If it is period correct, it's just barely, but prolly still just a little OT. I like it. And this is one detail that really is all about me! :D

Mines not that origional, an 8 ball on the colomn shifter for my powerglide. It does fit with the 60's theme of the car. Will try and get a pic and post tomorrow.

May I be the first to inform you that it isn't crystal. It's a real diamond! Only now, the missus will have it, and you'll be scrounging up a new shifter knob. :)

One of those threads was 6 years old. If eveyone used the almighty search function there would be no new stuff to read! We already have the "Traditional Police" now I guess we have the "Search Function Police". Seems odd to me, if someone wants to post something let them do it without someone getting on them like they are akid!

AWESOME!!!!! I'll start a new post on that 36 Ford that was stamped in stainless steel! I'm sure someone missed it the first 23 times it was started. ;)

To a point I agree with you... but then again some posts are really, REALLY overdone!

  30. For the most part, a lot of the policing comes from the waste of bandwidth. I'd hate for a HAMB crash to happen. Some threads had been started to combat things like that such as JefferyJames' "Mother Of All" threads. they are helpful but rarely come to the top because of no searches. Another point would be that some guys who would get on in '06 would've posted on then and not on another because they felt they had already done "one of those type" threads and not posted again in '09 when someone else started a thread. Just sayin', they don't do it to be jerks, just to get people to use the function that is obviously put there for a reason.

    My .02.
    Great knobs everyone.
