And now for something completly different...
I guess my feeble attempt at Pythonesq humor wasn’t so humorous. Yes, That was quotes from John Clese and the gang. <nudge, nudge, wink, wink> I shall consider myself ostracized. My sincerest appologies........ But hey, you started it.. :D I'll get this HAMB thing fingered out in a few days and have me Intro filled out

    Cheers....

yes, under proper circumstances it would be very funny. (i am sorry that i did not catch the python reference...and i really enjoy python)

it was a combination of your tone, lack of introduction, and general wastrelness that illicited such a terse response

so welcome to the HAMB, though this family thing is kinda wierd...(and i shall remove my less than gentlemanly remarks...)

it is ok, i am ostracized too...as it was my feeble attempt at self depracating humor.

since you are the proprietor of a warmed over B, what have you done to it?

The block was rebuilt with a turned crank, reconditioned rods and +30 over pistons. Complete balance job. Cam is a D. Elgin 180 degree with kent gears. The head was reworked with over size rimflow valves, pockets enlarged and runners cleaned up. Chambers where cleaned up also. Heavy duty valve springs. Maniflow intake and exhaust port matched to the head. standard S.U.s with richer needles, TWM ram pipes and K&N filters. Aldon performance distributor with an MSD 6AL ignition. The rear suspension was done with composite leafs, panhard rod, traction bars and tube shocks. The front got 1" lower compitition springs, 3/4 sway bar and neg camber control arms. And a few other misc things. It goes like stink and is a blast to drive. I love chasing the nazi motorcyclist up hwy. 9 and down Skyline!

The suspension was purchased from British Automotive in Novato http://www.mgbmga.com/ Doug Jackson has a lot of go fast parts for these things.

This is a Rover 3.5 stuffed into an MGB. It weighs less then the 4 cyl lump and more than doubles the HP. And you can close the hood!!

My new favorite site!!!, definately better than raiding MOss motorS.

Thanks for the link. You car is very nice looking. I dont think i am going to be sinking anymore cash into the B, as my sister is going to get it for a while. So i think that the TD chassis is going to get all the goodies.

Agreed. I always thought a chrome-bumper B with a Model A axle, ‘57 Pontiac rear, piecrust slicks, and an injected 327 would make a bitchin’ gasser. Preferably in dark blue metalflake with white suspension components.

I think I saw a Norwell illustration something like that once, but with an Austin Healey.

They are constructed from thick metal; easy to weld to; the 'MG Heritage approved' repair panels are rather thin and 'flash rusted' in dry-storage... I prefer to make up my own panels where possible.

This project has stalled a bit recently, but I'll get back to it over the Easter Hol's -This site has been an inspiration in terms of metalworking skills and tips BTW....
