So let's say money and time were no object and you could have your pick from any car. What would you build? I am sure some of you already have your dream cars so tell us what they are and why they are your dream car?

For me, it would be a 1954 Chevy Bel-Air coupe w/ air ride, 283 V8, turbo 400 trans, finned valve covers and air cleaner, white pleated interior, mild chop, visor, chrome all over, caddy or lancer hubcaps and the teal and white or orange and cream color scheme. If I close my eyes I can picture it in my head. I have always loved the lines of the 49-54 Chev's

I actually dream about a lot of cars, but this is the tops for me. What is yours?

(oh and I quickly searched and didnt find similar so if it is already out there SORRY)

My dream car was actually a '32 Ford 5 window, but I got a good deal on an unfinished 3 window. At the time, money was no object, so I built the car exactly the way I wanted it. Fenderless, black with a tri-powered sbc. The engine was bright yellow and the interior was white with yellow inserts (to match the engine). After 6 years of constant detailing and cleaning, the dream wore off, so I sold it.

    I have two Dream cars.....

    1935 Ford
Hot Little 265 Chevy with a Weiand 4 pot intake
4" Dropped Axle with a Mono Leaf up fron
Reversed eye and longer shackles out back
    Nice worn red paint
7.50 & 5.50 white walled tires mounted on Black Wide Fives
Full black pleated interior with a chromed shifter and steering column
'39 Tranny hooked to a '39 rear end all painted single stage black

    The other is....

    1932 Ford 5 Window
    Baby Blue paint
Ionia Built Frame with a dropped heavy axle up front and reversed eyes
'36 Banjo Rear set up with 9" live axles to handle some power
    331 Hemi with 10:1 Compression and 3 or 4 two's on top.
    LaSalle, Packard or Muncie tranny
    White Interior
    Black Suspension
    Channeled or not....or a little
16" '40 Ford wheels with Moon Caps all around
    7.50 & 6.00 Firestones
    Hood Top no sides
    Single push bar out back
Sort of like a early to mid 50's drag car that might have pulled double duty at bonneville once or twice.

    That's just day dreaming though.

Got everything for mine.........just lacking time (and it's running out). I've had a '32 5w for 37 years and it just keeps being shoved back to the end of the line. Lately it's been shouting at me to be done.
I have the complete car, full fendered, all steel. I've collected a 1600 mile 435 hp 427 Chevy w/aluminum heads and Holley tri-power, Doug Nash 5spd, scattershield,Webber clutch/flywheel. The rearend is a new Franklin Quick Change and the front is a 4" dropped axle w/disc brakes covered w/Buick drums. It's got a dash full of curved glass SW gauges and there is a vintage Moon tank to mount out front.
The top will be chopped a couple of inches (unlike the 4" I first planned before the waistline expanded). Plans are for a black tuck and roll interior and Honduras Maroon paint. The wheels are Halibrand 8" out back and 12 spoke in front. Hope I can finally start in the next year, after the '38 Deluxe and the '64 ElCamino are roadworthy.

I can think of about twenty, but only one is prominent at this point: '51 Styleline Special 2 door. 3' chop, slightly shaved, but with a few things left, just to be quirky (such as the hood bird) Frenched Lucas headlights, 56 Cad front bumper, frenched and inset lake pipes, blitz black with blue metalflake roof and scallops. Interior would be white tuck -n- roll with black piping, burlap sack covers on the door panels, original gray-green blah dash patina (with striping). S-10 frame, bagged, 292, 283 or 327 motor (finned valve covers and tri-power) if it's a V-8. Radirs and wide whites.

Going to pick up the raw material in a couploe of hours, too!

GRNS Trophy in the trunk might be nice
