Folks Of Interest Bruce Lancaster

Bruce lancaster is a great guy...Has helped me a lot before...

 

...and I didnt know he has a book writen...I have to buy that!!!

 

Bluto is visiting SoCal until late April.

 

I got an e-mail from Bruce yesterday about some stuff he is sending and some stuff I'm sending him. He said he has been very busy at school (apparently covered up!)

Yep, he fessed up a couple of months back.

I would have sworn that the release date was listed as April '10 originally on Amazon, but it looks like Sept. now if I'm reading things right.

 

I'd say that this book will be one of the "must have's" for anyone working on a flathead to have on his/her bookshelf. It will get added to mine for sure.

 

If there was ever an invaluable member of this board it's Bruce. Now that I know how to get his book my order will be in sortly.

If his book is written the same way as some of his replies and tips/help here (I'm sure it will be)...it will be very informative AND funny as hell.....

ANYONE that would take the time to answer a PM with a VERY basic question about correctly indentifing a '32, from a complete stranger, (and a "newbie" to the HAMB to boot), is ACES in my book! I got nothing but respect for someone like that... It's guys like Bruce that make this forum the incredible place that it is!

 

You are right it was initially april. i noticed yesterday when i posted the link above that it was changed to september.

 

I checked out the book. That's a Canadian Amazon site. Does that work differently than the regular one? If I order it they will send it to me in the States? I also would like to pre-order because I want to make sure I get one, they should sell well.

Happened to catch a thread a while back where a guy questioned Bruce's knowledge on deuce firewalls (4cly vs 8cyl, differences, etc.).....big mistake- intellectual beat down.

I'd say he is Henry Ford re-incarnated but I'm pretty sure he knows more then Henry ever did!

I can't wait to buy his book. I'm so happy for him!

 

I loved his stuff, Vengeance Valley , Moses, Rainmaker, Here to Eternity, Gun fight at the O.K. Corral.

I didnt realize the link i posted above was on the canadian amazon. i pre ordered the book back in the beginning of december through the amazon.com. I had the page bookmarked and when i just tried to go there it said that the page no longer exists. i hope that that doesnt affect me getting my copy of the book when it finally comes out.

 

Bruce must be having some publisher issues ... his book was due out on April 15th ... but it's no longer available for pre-order on Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com

Hey folks, and especially Bruce, I apologize for making the above post. I meant it to be a tongue-in-cheek comment, but shouldn't have posted it at all. I've always been amazed at Bruce's breadth and depth of knowledge on all topics, not just the old Fords, and have utmost respect for someone like that, who will answer any question posed, no matter the insignificance. I guess I need to be a little more careful when I'm at the keyboard.

 

We have lost most of our heros. The Duke, Roy Rogers, Randolf Scott, Ronald Regan And so on. Here on the HAMB we have Bruce Lancaster. We have our own Hero. Hope his book deal makes him a rich man.

 

I hope to meet Bruce someday he seems like a great guy, Without knowing me he has went out of his way to anwser many questions and dumb it down for me. I hope all is well with him and cant wait for his book.
