i just found a stock grille for my 50 shoebox to replace the one that was in it when i got it. i have the end pieces comming from a fellow hamber next week, but , you get the idea. whadya think?
I'm all for custom grilles, and a '53-54 Chevy looks good, but not that one because the surround isn't finished. You need to round the cavity for most custom grilles to work. The stock one looks much better.
thanks to all. besides the lack of a surround on the custom grille. the p.o. moved the bullet back about 3 inches, so the whole grille bar was straight accross the front .it didn't flow with the peak of the nose, or the rounded shape of the front of the car. i was going to move the bullet back out, and angle the bars back, to mimic the rearward slope of the original grille bar. but this still didn't solve the surround problem . if anyone's interested , i have the custom grille up for sale on here.
Oh yeah, I agree with everyone else - that's MUCH better. But hang on to those Chevy grille teeth, ya just never know when they might come in handy.
yes it is. it's not the old shoebox accessory light. i just used an old BLC foglight, cause i'm too cheap to buy the accessory one. the one i really want moves when you turn the wheels, but like i said before, i'm too cheap. haha
