Everyone is posting 30's cars but the 40 Ford was my first thought when I read the title of this thread. and if this isn't a hot rod I don't know what is.

GTO, definitely not a HOT ROD, nice late model muscle car, yes.

'34 coupe in the picture, yep pretty much does it for me

Where's the video of the black, full-fendered '32 3 window at the drags? The one where he drags (and tweaks) the rear bumper? That spins MY crank!

  16. Amen !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. I grew up in 70s New Zealand, and back then a hot rod was a modified car up to around 48/49. I think once the term became accepted, it has been used to describe any modified car. Ive heard camaros called hot rods and John Forces race car.
I guess we are victims of our eras. Hehe.
Heres a few pics of my taste in hot rods.

  22. My freaking pics aren't working. But heres a run down of cars that I believe are the EPITOME (sp? haha) of true hot rods.

    Thomas Wilbur's '32 5 window
    Bob Bleed's '32 survivor
    Mark Ford's hemi '31
    Bass' monster '29
    Evel's Live Wire
    Milner '32
    Beatty's T roadster
    Norm/Ivo/Franco and Skipper's T's
Any of the Choppers' and Shifters' cars

Thats all Ive got for now haha
