Bought this 35 Ford 1 1/2 ton truck Saturday thanks to 31ACoupe for letting me know about it and giving me the guys phone number. it was about a 5 hr drive to get there but was well worth it. Much better than the guy described and it has a title. I think I'm going to build another one of those fenderless trucks everyone loves so much.
nice looking truck! and welcome to the club. i just bought a '35 ford. and will be building one of those fenderless rigs as well, ha ha
Man, what are you talking about? Those fenders are beautiful, keep 'em. I think you would be a fool not to use those and the grill too of course and all the rest of the sheet metal.
Those big truck fender are to big. I'll give to you if you want them and I got another set that are from a 36 that I done that are in mint condition. Just not many uses for 1 1/2 ton fenders.
Neat truck, my uncle tried to give me one just like it in the 80s but dad wouldn't let it come home. Still cringe to think about cool it coulda been. Live my dream man, live it! Think about all the cool big truck heavy duty stuff it could be with the original fenders. Could be a 4x4, or a lowered dually, or all kinds of neato stuff that a plain ole pickup can't match. Go for the gusto!
"fenderless truck" sounds better than a "bobber" around here. Kinda frowned upon by the purists - but they are cheap and easy. I'm building one too. 46 GMC. Love the grill and hood. It'd be cool to see if you could keep them in the build.
I've built 3 fenderless trucks so far. a 33 ford, 36 ford and a 41 chevy was my first build. IU'll use the grill for shure or the other 35 grill I have hanging on the wall. Its a little better.
Wow thats a cool old truck. I'm building a 1938 chevy tow truck into a open wheel hot rod using the 20" bud wheels and no fenders as well and chopping down the old hand crank tow body.
tim im with a couple of these guy, keep those fenders on there. find a bed and make a really nice cruiser
How about finding one of those big 1-ton long and deep pickup beds from 48-52, replacing the rearend with a single wheel. Or buy a rolled Ford or Gm 1-ton single wheel truck and away you go.
