Its a scratch build car done by noted Chicago area restorer Fran Roxas. He usually builds winning Pebble Beach Dusenbergs and Packards, this one has a 30s packard V 12 he modified with one off flat heads, two carbs, and headers. Its not blown as someone said. Body of steel by Scott Knight. Concept was if Packard built a tear drop coupe back in the day, what would it look like. Design inspired by LeBaron coach bodies of the 30s. Ive sat in it, its pretty cool. Sounds great too.It is different, and I wondered if the HAMB would pick up on this, it did. The engine is a work of art. Take a close look.P.S., Im Norwegian too.

  3. Thanks for the pics. I really wish these damn shows would let guys display cars like cars closed up so you can see what they actually look like and then get the competitors to open them up when the judges want to see them. I guess overall look is not a criteria on their score sheets.

Anybody get a pic of that White O/T Camaro with the 70-72 Trans Am treatment from the Rear. Ive got a White & Blue 72 TA and think that think is pretty cool, just wonder how they did the tail lights, the rest of the details are pretty nice.

The funny thing is my 16 year old daughter was looking over my shoulder while I was
looking at this Merc. She said "Daddy that guys should have been shot to do that to
a Mercury." Needless to say I was very proud.... Lot of work done to the Merc, thanks
Gary for posting more pictures for the guys that couldn't make it.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

I like the grill, might look good in a tradtional kustom. May have some kooling issues.

Why was It on blocks, it might make some difference if it was sitting on the ground.
Did they lower the rear fender wells? Rear quarters look awful thick...

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

  22. The blocks are so judges can see the under carriage of the car. The rest is pretty unexplainable:eek:.

Yes I know that, just the lack of mirrors was throwing me off.
