i have no idea what the loop is for, maybe we should ask the old owner, i know he'd had the truck about 20 years so he may well know.

this is my 1966 chevy had it for six years three transmissions and two engines later its still my daily driver

 

I thought I recognized that truck, I can just make out the flyin eye kreations on the door. I remember when Larry got that truck from Shawn, before it was lowered and when it was, yes, even rustier. the color doesnt quite come out in pictures, its a badass pinky coppery color.

 

Here are some pictures of a 65 short stepside that I got in central Oregon. The truck is fairly original and may have had a repaint on some parts. Appears to be rust free as the floors, rockers, cab corners and lower fenders show no signs of body work or rust. It has no options and a 230 with a 3 speed column shift. Interior is also clean with an original floor mat. In the glovebox was all the original registration renewals from day 1 along with owners manual, dealer warranty info and protect-o-plate. Mileage shows 64700 which looks to be right considering the condition of the truck and wear on the interior. Not sure at this time what my plans are as I would like a short fleetside.

 

^ thats an incredible find.. I know hoe you feel, I like customs , but that one is so nice I would be on the fence as to what to do with it too.

 

I sold my '97 Toyota Tacoma, and bought this a couple weeks ago to be my new daily. Crazy? Possibly. 250/3spd. It's apart in the garage right now getting new gaskets, a new trans, some paint and detailing in the engine compartment, lowered rear, and straight pipes. Hopefully I can post some updated pics in another week or so.

 

my 66 has been in the family since day one. I am 4th generation onwer/driver. Next thing on the list is to bag it! And a crew cab i have my eye on. Finally talked the old man into sellin it to me

I just found and scored this '64 Crewy too. Its a two door but I'll prolly add a third door with suicide on the passenger side. The cab is actually in decent shape.

UPDATE!!! The bed is on the truck, the motor fires and the driveline is in. Viva here we come.

 

Ive had my 65 c20 for nearly 10 years now. I drove it for about 2 years. I finally bought a new truck and the beast just sat i have recently started working on it again and cant wait to drive it again. These have to be the best trucks ever made. The only thing i dont like is the 4.57 gearing in the rear end. It really make for a fuel guzzler.But i Love this truck

Here is my 62 C30 (sorry its not a 10) thats been in my town since new with two previous owners. My wife gave it to me as a birthday present after talking the last owner out of it over drinks at a bar for $100. The 6 in it is so quiet you can't hear it running with 40k original miles that I'd hate to swap it.
