I received a call earlier today letting me know Mr. Crawford has passed this morning. He was always nice to us young guns back in the day & thus I've held much respect for him since. His family & close friends are in my thoughts. My sincerest condolences....

I have a car we are working on here in the shop that will need striping. I mentioned this if front of a couple guys the other day and they both instantly said get James Crawford he is the best around. Neither of them knew about his health issues. I had planned to have James letter my fairlane when I got it painted. Sadly that never happend. His talent and friendship will be missed by many.
If you met the man you would never forget him. I never talked with him without having a smile on my face. He was one of the first people in the community I met 11 yrs ago. I am a better person for knowing him.
Our buddy Terry Box is the automotive writer the Dallas Morning News. He did a cool write up on James in the paper this morning. Check out the link. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcon...-Autos2_13emp.ART.State.Edition1.4b908f3.html
Saw James' Merc again yesterday, finally parted the crowd enough to get a pic. Figured I'd post this for those who have never seen it. Also noticed some of his work around the show.
