Just got a new National Dragster today and Crane Cams had a full page add saying they were going to be a contingency sponsor for NHRA for 2010. Anyone know anything about this? I thought they were sold out and gone!!!
When the assets of the defunct Crane were sold off George Smith of S&S (the motorcycle engine and parts guy) purchased what was worthwhile. They had a booth at the IMIS show in Indy and also at PRI the next week. Chase Knight is still there. They started out with the ignition systems and are building up the camshaft side of things now. Roo
So they have already started to manufacture there ignition systems again? This is great news! Thanks for posting....
Was on their web site yesterday. If I read it right they are not making cams for cars yet, but will be. They are focusing on racing and automotive ignition stuff and motorcycle valve train stuff. http://cranecams.com/?show=crane-ss
Back from the dead? This is good news. I can't wait to see how they do this time around with this new ignition stuff?
Crane Cams should hire UDHAROLD to design some real cams. The guy is like 70 years young and will spin your head with the knowledge that he has in him. He owned Ultradyne and designed the Voodoo series for Lunati. He still grinds cams the last time i talked to him. UDHAROLD can be found on chevelles.com.
