1993 Plymouth Grand Voyager. Had to replace darn near the entire rear brake system this winter, and I just fixed a bad fuel leak yesterday. It also has rod knock and a leaky transaxle, but the heater and radio mostly work.

  8. 98 S10 Blazer. Found on craigslist wrecked in the front for 300 bucks advertised as a parts car. Bought a bumper, radiator & radiator support & grille from a salvage yard for 200, got the hood & 1 fender off an S10 pickup parts truck I own and I'm into it for $500 running & driving. The seller had a new engine installed 2 years ago at a Chevy Dealership, runs & drives like new. Best 500 bucks I've spent in a long time.

83 Dodge pickup D 250 with a carb'd 318 that's as reliable as a Black Lab with "people food" dangling in front of his nose.

also have 2, '97 Jeeps a Cherokee (wifes) and a Wrangler; both straight-6s.

  24. In the winter months I drive the dealerships four wheel drive Dodge with the plow on it.I clear the lots before anyone gets there in the mornings as well as on the weekends for tow trucks coming and going. Gives me a reliable ride and I get to plow my own driveway....

My Cummins powered 92 Dodge 3/4 ton club cab did good in the northern Indiana snow during the two trips I had to take up there to get my mother in the nursing home. It hauls the Comet on the trailer when I go to the track, GOD IT"S UGLY THOUGH! LOL.

In Boston, my hometown, back in the 50s, a lot of us were into SCCA road racing and hot rods. Our money and energies went into those cars. We drove, well, basically, shitboxes. We called them "toilets". Seemed to make perfect sense. Everyone needed one, but we never wanted anyone to see us using it. Purely functional. Ah, yes, back in the 50 dollar car days. And drive it ALL winter...maybe longer.
