Here's some more from Ascot Park

My guess would be Johnny Anderson in the 21, I'm drawing a blank on the 22 and should be Rick Goade in the 23.

What's the story on this car?

  4. Cool rear end JF.....back in the day nearly every rod, custom and van used a Jag rear, here in the UK...So many were used they are now getting hard to find. This is a great rear end ,used one on my 3 window coupe. This is the new axel on my street sprint..

Max Riechenbach was a car builder in the Chicago area. I bought a cage kit from him in 1975. He had a shop behind his house in Lombard Illinois.

    Hi Buildy,
Willy put an offy in the car for Syracuse, and I believe he won the twin 50s that day. Perhaps Old Bill can confirm. I was the third owner of that car and I remember a section of the frame welded in where the injectors exited. The Bogar 90 is now restored and should show up a some events. Could the #8 have been driven by Scratch Daniels?

This pic made my trip to Oaks a great success last week. Red Reigel in the S & D
sprinter(Seymour & Dakin) @ Reading & judging by the coats being worn, it would be
the March '66 race. Less than 3 months till accident.

@Reading, judging by the coats being worn, it must be March 1966. Three months
    before accident

Do you know who the driver of this car was? Bill Kimmel Frank's father drove a # 69 sprint car just wondered if this was it as this car was from southern Ind.

    Great stuff.
I recommend "The History of Motor Racing Pt 6", Pt 7, Pt 8 etc on Youtube. These reference Indy and show some classic shots of early indy. The Mercedes cars in 39 where remarkable. Removable steering wheel, driver adjustable shocks, just to mention a few of their features.
