A lot of people commented on my hubcaps so lets see everyone elses wheel covers. Hubcaps are my favorite thing to collect so show em all.
I love them! In the late '50's-Early 60's Steelies were for a lot of us who couldn't afford nice Caps or mags. Nice job! It was a good day ($$$) when Baby Moons became the rage.........Centurion9
Bob, don't let Lowmerc50 get his hands on those, he'll put skulls on em, pointy things on em, and make em dangerous to go down the road............
First caps were on my car when I bought her. Apparently they are from mid 70s Charger/Barracuda. I lost 2 of them going 80 down the interstate so I put the originals that I found in the trunk back on, and are on currently (#2). As of right now, the plans for my car include a set of Hollywood Flippers (#3).
Lowmerc, what did you use to make the "spikes" on those? They arent an original cap, are they? Ive never seen anything like that. Interesting.
The first hub caps are insane. Great work if you built them. If you didn't i'll second What are they off of?
'62 Stude Lark caps (at least they were on it when I bought it!). Second pic is what she ended up with (set # 4).
Brother Norwell beat me to my comment on the wild spikes, stand back folks he is moving the ride!! They could break a dog of chasing cars if he got close enough. Great originality dude! ~Sololobo~
Do those spiked covers whistle or make any other cool noise when you're blazing down the road? Seems like there would be a cool siren sound or something.... NICE!!!
Don't know about his hub caps but when I was about 5 I had a boxer dog that pulled my little red wagon and I tied the rope that pulled it to his nuts, now when we got rolling he made a pretty cool siren sound...........LOL
