Hey Matt!! Good to see your getting some time in on your project. Does this mean we will be seeing regular updates/progress? Frank
Doubt they will be "regular" Frank. I'll post my progress at some point I'm sure. And I'll be sure to make it "tech-like"
Awesome car, I bet you don't see another one at shows. There's a '20 roadster body on craigslist. I'm bench racing it, trying to find parts and stuff. No money to do anything else right now.
Gorgeous, beutiful car! Have you given any thought yet as to what to run for headlights? in my opinion, this car needs something really special in that department . One possible suggestion would be to use a pair of standard - either 5 3/4 or 7 inch - headlights, inset into the lower part of the grill, like on the old Allard road-race cars. The bottom of Allard grill, where the headlights mounted was fairly wide though, and I'm not sure if that would place them too close together on your Buick to be legal or practical though. If that wouldn't work, maybe a pair of 30's vintage Woodlights or vintage, small diameter bullet accessory or racing lights from the '30's, fitted with modern halogren bulbs and mounted fairly low, on the sides of the rad shell. That is nice. I love the stance on it. I have a cowl off a similar one that is the base for my two seat prewar racecar style roadster. I bought the cowl about 25 or more years ago at a swapmeet just because it was 10.00 bucks and I had ten bucks at the time. Keep us updated on the progress, this one is going to be interesting.
