I was there on the 2nd, what a great night! It's a shame it couldn't be a genuine period F/C but I suppose safety is a big issue these days.

He's racing again on the 16th... should be awesome!

I was just gonna mention the IHRA's new class, Prostalgia Niitro Funny Car. It promises to be the most exciting class of any sanctioning body.

that just took the chill out!

 

Hell yeh! It was definitely worth the wait. Racing was delayed over 2 hours due to rain... that first run along side Peter Leahy's blown alcohol FED was special.

Gary is a great bloke and his 4sec run last year was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen on the drag strip. For those of you who don't know we have very few Nitro Funny Cars in Australia and there hasn't been an offically sanctioned class for them for some 10 or 15 years.

I love Gary Densham, but that was no where near as cool as the dry hop Del Worsham did at that NHRA event a year or so ago with his recreated "Blue max". All four wheels in the air!
